Born in London but reinvigorated online, the second wave grime sound being pushed by the likes of Visionist, Mumdance, Slackk, Bloom and Rabit, Grime 2.0 is a darker, more experimental beast than its mid-00s predecessor, loaded with hard-hitting riddims, brutalist basses, metallic synth sonics, vapour-like pads and ominous FX.
