2021 年，伊格卢戈斯特（Iglooghost）与我（由 umru 讲述）发现了两个伪装成 “平行宇宙中巴西版我们” 的 SoundCloud 账号：UMRU DA VILA SAUDADE 与 DJ IGLOOGHOST DO CAPÃO REDONDO。多年来，这两个账号一直在精心创作放克风格（funk）致敬作品，每首均以我们各自在 Splice 平台发布的采样包为灵感。
事后查明，这一切的幕后创作者是如今 22 岁的巴西制作人杜达（dudda），而上述账号的作品仅仅是她创作版图的冰山一角。成长于 SoundCloud 平台的杜达，拥有多重身份：她是 K-pop 改编团体 [4KAE] 的正式成员、慈善社区 Goop House 的一员，同时也是巴西 Soundclown（注：指以幽默、实验风格在 SoundCloud 发布音乐的创作者群体）组织 NAÇÃOREBOLATION69 的成员 —— 该组织仅今年就发布了数百首曲目，正在巴西 DIY（自制）锐舞场景中为 Z 世代站稳脚跟。
杜达曾与阿加泽罗（agazero，代表作《ICQ BABY》）、扬德尔（yandrel）、加斯特・克洛伊（ghast chloe）、umru 以及蔡斯・艾康（Chase Icon）等音乐人合作；她的最新 EP《PERSONAL ANGEL》（《私人天使》）则是一封以 nightcore（注：一种将歌曲加速、升调，营造欢快或梦幻感的音乐风格）形式写给 trance（迷幻电子乐）与虚拟联结的致敬之作。
《Digital Angel Workstation》（《数字天使工作站》）或许是首款真正意义上的 “第二代 Moment 采样包”。在整套采样包中，我们能捕捉到诸多熟悉元素的影子：underscores（音乐人）标志性的游戏风格冲击音效、tracey brakes（音乐人）的 Serum（合成器软件）炫技音色，以及对 “第一季” 金属军鼓配方的优化升级 —— 这仿佛是一位精通采样包语言的艺术家写下的真挚情书。
它是多重风格的熔炉：既有 PC Music 厂牌黄金时代的超流行（hyperpop）风格，也有 Fractal Fantasy 厂牌的未来感俱乐部音乐元素，还有 dariacore（注：一种以碎片化、高能量为特点的电子乐风格）的极致主义（maximalism），而这一切都诞生于巴西音乐在 “响度战争”（注：指音乐行业为追求更响亮的播放效果而不断提升音频响度的竞争现象）中胜出的背景之下。
“这套采样包收录的都是一些私人化音色，由一群住在我电脑里、帮我制作歌曲的可爱天使生物，用‘天使尘’（注：此处为艺术化表达，非实际物质）和神秘乐器创作而成，” 杜达在 Discord（社交平台）上告诉我们，“有时候它们会变得特别疯狂，但也能创造出美妙的东西 —— 这套采样包就是这样诞生的。”

In 2021, Iglooghost and I (umru speaking) discovered 2 soundcloud pages masquerading as Brazilian alternate universe personas of us: UMRU DA VILA SAUDADE and DJ IGLOOGHOST DO CAPÃO REDONDO, churning out high-effort funk homages to each of our Splice packs for years on end. It turned out the mastermind behind this was now-22-year-old Brazilian producer dudda, and those accounts barely scratch the surface. Raised on Soundcloud, she’s a card-carrying member of K-pop edit troupe [4KAE], charity community Goop House, and Brazilian Soundclown cult NAÇÃOREBOLATION69, who have posted hundreds of tracks this year alone and are establishing a Gen Z foothold in Brazil’s DIY rave scene. She’s collaborated with agazero (ICQ BABY), yandrel, ghast chloe, umru and; Chase Icon, and her latest EP ‘PERSONAL ANGEL’ is a nightcore ode to trance music and virtual connections.
‘Digital Angel Workstation’ may be the first true second generation Moment sample pack. Across the pack we caught glimpses of underscores’ game-style impacts, tracey brakes’ Serum showpieces, and refinements on Season 1’s metal snare formula – it felt like an honest love letter written by an artist fluent in sample pack. It’s a melting pot between the golden era hyperpop of PC Music, the futuristic club of Fractal Fantasy, and dariacore’s maximalism, all forged in the wake of Brazil’s triumph in the loudness wars.
“This is a collection of personal sounds made with angel dust and mystic instruments by a bunch of cute angel creatures that live inside my computer and help me produce my songs,” dudda tells us over Discord. “They go absolutely wack sometimes but they also can do beautiful things, and this pack is the result of it.”
