Acid Lab is a Heidelberg, Germany-based producer known for deep, atmospheric Drum & Bass shaped by the darker edges of Techstep, Drumfunk and jungle. Emerging from the late 90s and influenced by pioneers like DJ Trace, Ed Rush & Optical, Source Direct and Photek, his sound is built on haunting atmospheres, rolling break-work and heavy sub pressure that pulls listeners into immersive, cinematic worlds. Drawing inspiration from film scores, trailers, dub techno, experimental electronics and old-school jungle, his productions balance mood, movement and weight with a distinct cinematic edge. Over the years he has collaborated with artists including Gremlinz, Loxy, Ink and Sonar’s Ghost, with releases on Metalheadz, Renegade Hardware and Paradox Music, where he became the first German artist to release on the label.
