• Logan String Melody II（洛根弦乐旋律 II）于 1978 年在意大利生产，由德国 Hohner（霍纳）公司负责分销，其音色中频饱满浑厚，极具感染力。
• ARP Omni II（ARP 奥姆尼 II）是 ARP Omni I（ARP 奥姆尼 I）与 Solina（索利纳）弦乐合成器的继任产品。其中，Solina 的弦乐音色堪称 20 世纪七八十年代的 “标志性弦乐音色”，几乎活跃于当时所有的舞台演出与唱片制作中。
• Welson Symphony（威尔森交响）是一款极为稀有的意大利产弦乐合成器，由 WEBO 电子公司（WEBO electronics）制造。

3.0 版本新增特性：

• 支持 64 位系统与 Mac 系统（Mac 系统仅支持 AU 格式插件）。

Stringer contains sample sets of the ARP Omni II, the Logan String Melody II and the Welson Symphony in two engines that can be mixed and layered:
The sonic result of a sample based instrument is highly dependent on the way the samples have been converted, recorded, cut and looped. You’ll never gain back what you lose e.g. using a bad clock. For the Stringer, every key of the original instruments was sampled using top notch Apogee converters. The samples were recorded at full 24-bit/44.1kHz depth to capture every detail. A lot of time went in the perfect restoration and looping of the 241 samples – the loop lengths are up to four seconds and preserve the original beats. The sonic result is outstanding and nearly indistinguishable from the original.

The real string machines that were sampled for this project are highly sought after and are rare and expensive on the used market:

The Logan String Melody II was built 1978 in Italy and distributed in Germany by Hohner. It has a very middy fat and exciting sound.
The ARP Omni II is the successor of the Omni I and the Solina. The Solina string sound was THE string sound of the seventies and eighties, used on almost every stage and record.
The Welson Symphony is a very rare Italian made String machine. It was built by WEBO electronics.

New in version 3.0:

64-bit and Mac compatibility (Mac: AU only).

Built-in patch browser with proprietary patch-format.

Larger interface (about 40% larger).

Built-in effects unit (Modulation and Reverb).

A separate switchable ensemble effect (pre-effect).

A new “pure” mode (generated saw) in all-buttons-off state.
54 new presets (total 98) using the new features.

The new “pure” mode combined with the ensemble and modulation effects allows to design new string ensemble sounds from scratch.

New in version 3.1:

Native M1 and VST3 support for Mac.
5 new monophonic envelope types.
3 new global ensemble effect types based on the Solina circuit.
A switchable monophonic bass section.
A switchable fully polyphonic phase-locked divide-down engine.
30 new presets (now 128) showcasing the new features.

The new features allow to emulate the classic Solina sound using single components all without samples which is showcased in presets 127 and 128. Still the emulating part of the hybrid engine can be combined with the sample-based engine.
