MULTI GRANULAR PLAYHEADS
Four simultaneous granular playheads operate on the same sample, allowing for real-time modulation, control, and automation, enabling more advanced sonic structures and deeper experimentation. Each playhead can have its own audio output, designed for quadraphonic sound installations, and can be individually processed with audio FX or external equipment.
SPREAD AND MODULATION
The main controls in MONTAG-E have two operating modes: NORMAL and SPREAD. In NORMAL mode, each voice receives the same control value, while SPREAD assigns a different value to each voice. This allows for more variation and interesting results with less parameter editing.
Most controls can be modulated by a selectable modulation source for each section.
MOD SOURCES
An LFO (with a wavetable option for drawing waveforms), BLEND, and a special POS TO modulator, which converts playhead positions into polyphonic modulation data. This can be applied to PITCH, VOLUME, and PAN, making it ideal for designing whooshes, pass-bys, or adding extra movement to your sounds.
VARIATE
A randomness system that lets you add or remove MONTAG-E controls to create subtle changes or entirely new sounds. This allows you to easily generate sound variations using 8 pads that control the intensity of these changes.
