Complete Density Control
Vela uses a massive network of delays controlled with a node based graph editor to enable you to fully shape the density characteristic of your space. Start with a sparse initial period of discrete early delay taps that blooms into an ultra dense smooth heavenly tail for ultimate spatial imagery.
Or go nuts and start with 5000 delay taps collapsing down to single pulses for an otherworldly special effect. Mimic the characteristics of other famous reverbs by dialing in a similar density to your favorite Classic hall or Drum room. Use a sparse density to get ultra spacious clean intelligible vocal reverb that cuts through any mix. The choice is all yours.
Node Based Decay
The Vela decay system does away with the feedback network limitation of most algorithmic reverbs and gives you the same node based graph to fully edit your decay shape. Easily dial in short decays or gates or emulate any possible non linear tail shape. Go crazy with reverse reverbs or pulsing sawtooth tail. Let your imagination run wild!
Add Depth with Early Reflections
Early reflections are key to how a reverb imparts its sense of space on the human auditory system. This initial series of discrete delay taps are fundamental to the character of a space.
In Vela we have adopted a fully customisable ER system with presets analyzed from a bunch of real spaces and from classic and modern algorithmic reverbs.
If you are feeling adventurous you can also dive in and create your own bespoke ERs with the user editable presets. The Early reflections can be fed into the final diffusion system and into the filter giving you maximum control over how they sound.

VELA has Pre and Post EQ sections giving you complete control over the tonal shape of your sound.
Node Based Decay Filter
The node based filter graph lets you fine tune the damping of the decay over time enabling you to really dial in the absorption characteristics of the space.
Clear Mixes with Ducking
The ducking system in vela lets you fine tune how your reverb interacts with the incoming signal… Perfect for Vocals where you want your vocal to come through clearly but have the Vela reverb follow after.
Smooth it out with De-essing
Velas de-essing system lets you get rid of any annoying sibilance before it hits the reverb giving you lush smooth tails without unwanted fizz you might get from vocal esses.
Enhance Space with Diffusion
While the late section of Velas reverb can be perfectly diffuse we love the sound of the late diffusion networks of classic algorithmic reverbs.
Velas diffusion network serves 2 key functions… smoothing out any discrete taps from a low density late section or smoothing the Early reflection taps while also adding some extra stereo space.

VELA comes preloaded with 200 presets including presets to emulate some of the most famous and classic reverbs. You can tag your favourites as well as create your own.
Total Modulation Control
