The Revolutionary Dynamic Splitter
Phantomix’s unique Dynamic Splitter isolates the dynamic nuances typically compressed out of the original signal, routing these “removed” elements directly into the powerful effects section. In a way, it lets you process only the prominent or the subtle parts of your audio material and leave the other intact.
Reverb & delay that doesn’t clutter
Adding just the right amount of reverb, that would give the atmosphere, but wouldn’t clutter the mix, is usually virtually impossible. Well, was. By sending only prominent parts of your signal to the reverb, you get the atmosphere, but you still keep the signal clean. By sending the subtle parts of the signal instead, you can fill the voids in your audio without drowning the transients in reverb. And the same thing is true with a delay.
Getting some smack without murdering your audio
We all love a bit of saturation, distortion or limiting, but it’s a slippery road – too much makes everything horrible. So, how about not drowning everything in some sort of distortion and giving the mojo only to the prominent parts? Phantomix lets you easily give some smack to the transients, but leaves the rest intact, making things sound rich but not distorted.
Processing dynamics of a dynamically processed audio?
What on earth could that be for? Turns out there’s a load of gems hidden here. Say you have a percussive instrument, drums, for instance, and the levels vary. Sure, you can compress the hell out of it, but doing that cleanly is quite a challenge. So, how about compressing just the transients – the prominent parts of the signal? That’s Phantomix’s Compressor module. Or if the transients are not prominent enough, use the Transient module. Or maybe the subtle hits need to be more prominent, so you just switch the Phantomix to gate mode. The possibilities are endless…

64-bit audio quality at ANY sampling rate
